Session 1 = Feb/March; Session 2 = April/May; Session 3 (Summer) = June/July; Session 4 = Aug/September; Session 5 = October/November; Session 6 = Dec/Jan
Scheduling is done in sessions and we make every effort to respect the local school calendars. There are two months per session, in which there will be seven lessons. In the summers, lessons will be a bit longer, with six lessons per session, to better accommodate summer vacations, but the student will receive the same amount of instruction time.
Recitals are the weekend before JCPS returns (Summer Recital) and President’s Day in February (Winter Recital). Students must have taken two sessions and be currently enrolled to sing in a recital, but recitals are free to participants and guests of the students. All recitals are at St. Andrew’s Episcopal at 2233 Woodbourne Avenue in the sanctuary. There will be pop-in dress rehearsals on the afternoon of the recital evening.
