BATHROOMS
Louisville Voice Lessons is a series of in-home studios. Bathrooms may not be easily accessible from the studios and may require entering a different area of the home. Students MUST be prepared to wear a mask when using an alternate entrance, and only after ringing the doorbell and being invited inside. Casual entry of the home area is not permitted. Please use the restroom elsewhere and BEFORE attending lessons, whenever possible, to avoid loss of lesson time. Please do not enter the home area without permission, nor open the door between the student side of the studio and the teacher side of the studio. This door is for emergency use only.

STUDIO CLOSINGS
Please check your emails for closings. LVL may choose to close for weather or other events/vacations. Remote/online lessons may be recommended, depending on the situation at hand.
FOOD AND DRINK
No food or drink other than water is allowed in the studios. Non-nut hard candies are usually available as a lozenge in the studios.
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY
It is the responsibility of the student to bring their music and a notebook to each lesson, and to bring music within a time frame that it can be adequetly prepared. We use digital music in lessons, but please ask the teacher if you need a legal copy. It is the student’s responsibility to know the requirements for upcoming auditions for musicals, KMEA, competitions and recitals. LVL can make recommendations for repertoire based on the requirements or rules for any upcoming events, but the student must be responsible for knowing and relating those guidelines. LVL cannot submit students for KMEA Solo and Ensemble nor do we have access to their instructions and rules, but we do help students to prepare for this and numerous other events, auditions and competitions. Rules to various auditions and competitions change each year, so please be ready to do your own research and relay the requirements to your private teacher.
SOCIAL MEDIA AND PHOTOS
LVL frequently gives shout-outs to currently-enrolled students for their vocal or dramatic accomplishment on Facebook and our website. Students/parents agree to let LVL know in writing if they do not want to be mentioned on social media, and agree not to be in studio individual and group pictures if they do not want to be shown.
We also proudly give shout-outs and congrats to LVL alumni on social media as well. Students become alumni of LVL if they have consistently taken lessons up until they move or leave for college. Alumni are responsible for keeping us up to date via texts - AND WE HOPE YOU DO! We are proud of our current students and alumni
SUSPENSION OF LESSON
Students/parents agree to notify LVL in writing (email louisvillevoicelessons@gmail.com) two weeks prior to suspending lessons. The student will be financially responsible for all lessons during the 14-day termination period, without exception. If the student wishes to cease attending lessons immediately, they are still financially responsible for the following two-weeks tuition, and payment must be rendered immediately. Refusal to adhere to this policy will result in the accrual of additional late fees and referral to a collection agency.
MUSICAL SELECTIONS & COMMUNICATIONS
Students, parents and teachers agree to keep all music, lyrics, materials and conversations appropriate and PG (think movie ratings) for all lessons, texts, emails, communications and recitals. All parties agree that the main focus of lessons is to learn music and the aspects of healthy singing.
LIABILITY
Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian that is in the vicinity of the studio. One parent or guardian may attend the first trial lesson, but after that time, when live lessons occur, only the student is allowed in the lesson. However, ALL students are strongly encouraged to audio or video record each lesson for the entirety of their lesson. Lessons are scheduled tightly so please be on time. (Exceptions will be made for special needs students and elementary-aged children that require an assistant or parent.)
